Junior Project Manager – Digitalization, Finance, Public Sector

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Take overall charge of implementing software solutions for financial accounting and associated processes within public administrations and churches.

• Ensure that project goals related to quality, timelines, and budget are achieved.

• Coordinate with stakeholders across all levels.

• Organize and facilitate workshops, training sessions, and acceptance tests.

• Collaborate closely with customers, internal project teams, and external service providers.

• Guarantee comprehensive project documentation and provide regular updates on project progress.

• Manage requirements and perform risk analyses, along with implementing suitable measures.

• Begin your journey as a Consultant with thorough onboarding in software solutions and project methodologies.

• Gradually prepare to assume project management responsibilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• A completed degree in business administration, public administration, or a related area, preferably with a focus on financial accounting.

• Initial experience in managing IT or software projects.

• Experience in municipal administration is advantageous.

• Familiarity with financial accounting and municipal budgeting processes is a plus.

• Knowledge of project management methodologies—both traditional and agile—preferably supplemented by certifications such as PRINCE2 or Scrum Master.

• Strong communication and facilitation skills.

• A structured and solution-oriented approach to work.

• Empathy in interactions with diverse stakeholders.

• Willingness to travel within the German states of North Rhine-Westphalia, Rhineland-Palatinate, Hesse, and Saarland.

• Proficiency in business-fluent German.
