Junior Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Oversee the implementation of projects within client networks.

• Ensure that the project scope, timelines, deliverables, quality standards, and service margin goals are met.

• Evaluate project proposals to assess timelines, budget constraints, and execution strategies.

• Identify, schedule, and monitor deliverables, milestones, tasks, and communication related to the project.

• Record and convey project status, risks, challenges, and solutions to management.

• Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.

• Collaborate with Customer Operations, Sales, Bid Management, Service Delivery, Finance, and other stakeholders to meet project and financial goals.

• Work under the supervision of a Ciena Senior Project Manager.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline.

• Preferred experience of up to 12 months in project management.

• Strong critical thinking and analytical problem-solving capabilities.

• Sound judgment and decision-making skills across various alternatives.

• Competence in planning, scheduling, and coordinating project activities.

• Ability to collaborate effectively within a matrix organization involving multiple stakeholders.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Project and Salesforce project management software.

• PRINCE2 or PMP certification is a plus.

• Experience in a matrix organization and in influencing and collaborating with various teams.

• Familiarity with technology, services, and business concepts within a project context.

• Strong business judgment applied to complex business challenges.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Customer-centric approach with strong relationship-building, business acumen, and influencing abilities.
