This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +1 more state.
• Assist in overseeing the scope, timeline, and budget for designated projects, which includes collaboration with external design sub-consultants and internal design teams.
• Manage annual billings ranging from approximately $0.5M to $1.5M.
• Interpret and contribute to Basis of Design documents, design criteria documents, reports, and other technical written materials.
• Ensure effective communication between clients, contractors, and senior project managers regarding all ongoing projects.
• Conduct quality control evaluations of drawings, specifications, and narratives under the guidance of senior staff members.
• Identify and escalate oversights for appropriate review and correction.
• Provide support for business development activities, including project interviews, technical writing for proposals, and fee proposals.
• Assist with contract coordination for sub-consultants and facilitate approval and distribution processes.
• Maintain project schedules and calendars, ensuring key design deadlines are met.
• Keep project records, job site visit logs, and timelines updated.
• Ensure that RFI and submittal response times align with or surpass company standards.
• Document communications and work items discussed with contractors.
• Maintain documentation and records related to applicable standards and codes.
• Support the development of and adherence to company-wide standards and processes.
• Submit personal timesheets punctually and assist in monitoring team compliance.
• Represent the company at marketing and networking events, including industry conferences, as requested.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, or a related field is preferred.
• A minimum of 5-10 years of post-degree experience in an MEP engineering firm or an AE firm.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or Registered Architect (AIA) is required.
• Proficient in managing workflow for MEP/FP designers and engineers within the AEC industry.
• Familiarity with Revit and AutoCAD software.
• Understanding of applying WBS and EVM frameworks.
• Knowledge of PMI methodologies is beneficial.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and Microsoft Project.
• Exceptional written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Capable of editing design specifications and responding to RFIs using project documentation.
• Strong work ethic; capable of working independently and self-motivated, as well as thriving in a collaborative team environment.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented.
• Strong project management, strategic planning, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent time management skills with the flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and responsibilities.
• High levels of confidentiality, integrity, and dependability are essential.
• U.S. citizenship or U.S. permanent residency is required.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% for site visits and client meetings.
• Preferred: PMI PMP certification, or actively pursuing it.
