This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India, +1 more country.
• Accurately process timely and compliant payroll for various UK clients.
• Oversee payroll data, ensuring completeness and accuracy prior to submission.
• Execute payroll transactions within established deadlines.
• Assist with workplace pension auto-enrolment and related submissions.
• Complete HMRC submissions, including RTI, FPS, and EPS.
• Support year-end reporting needs, including P60s and P11Ds.
• Ensure adherence to payroll, statutory, pension, HMRC, and tax deadlines.
• Detect discrepancies and proactively resolve payroll-related issues.
• Respond quickly and professionally to client payroll inquiries.
• Maintain a client satisfaction target (CSAT) of at least 97% monthly.
• Address client queries and emails within agreed communication service level agreements (SLAs).
• Build and nurture trusted relationships with clients, following up on outstanding information.
• Collaborate with the UK Payroll team and other internal departments.
• Enhance workflows utilizing AI, automation, payroll technology, and process improvements.
• Participate in interviews and practical assessments during the hiring process.
• At least 1–2 years of practical experience in UK payroll processing.
• Preference for experience in a bureau, outsourced payroll environment, or shared services center.
• Experience managing multiple client payroll accounts is advantageous.
• Working knowledge of UK payroll processes, HMRC requirements, tax regulations, and workplace pension processes.
• Familiarity with payroll software such as BrightPay, Xero Payroll, or similar is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Experience managing sensitive and confidential financial information.
• Ability to juggle multiple priorities while meeting stringent deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Comfortable working with data and payroll-related reporting and metrics.
• Practical experience or keen interest in AI tools, automation, and IT applications.
• Demonstrates ownership and accountability.
• Exhibits humility and a willingness to learn.
• Possesses structured thinking and prioritization skills.
• Data-driven mindset with a keen attention to detail.
• Capable of handling difficult conversations in a positive manner.
• Proficient in AI and technology.
• Successful completion of relevant background checks.
