Junior Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Assist in the upkeep and development of applications within the client's systems ecosystem.

• Help analyze and resolve incidents, bugs, and technical challenges.

• Evaluate escalated tickets to uncover technical root causes, application behavior, and failure points.

• Conduct investigations utilizing logs, database queries, APIs, and various integrations.

• Create low- and medium-complexity fixes under the supervision of experienced developers.

• Facilitate improvements, modifications, and minor functional enhancements.

• Replicate reported errors and document the technical findings.

• Execute debugging and troubleshooting to determine root causes.

• Develop and maintain code while adhering to technical, architectural, and quality standards.

• Create and manage unit tests and assist in technical validation.

• Engage with code versioning, branches, commits, pull requests, and code reviews.

• Utilize and help maintain APIs and system integrations.

• Assist with database queries and analysis through SQL queries.

• Take part in deployments, user acceptance testing, and post-implementation monitoring.

• Collaborate with Mid-Level and Senior Developers, QA, Product Owners/Operations Management, and other technical teams.

• Document analyses, detailing causes, solutions, evidence, impacts, and resolution procedures.

• Recognize recurring issues and technical debt, suggesting improvements.

• Participate in technical refinement sessions, alignment meetings, and other team ceremonies.

• Gradually develop knowledge of architecture, integrations, systems, and business rules.

• Continuously enhance technical autonomy.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently enrolled in or have completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Systems Analysis and Development, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• Proficient in at least one programming language used in application development.

• Understanding of programming logic, object-oriented programming, data structures, and development best practices.

• Basic familiarity with REST APIs, HTTP requests, JSON, and system integrations.

• Knowledge of databases and SQL.

• Familiar with Git and version control, including branches, commits, merges, and pull requests.

• Basic understanding of debugging, troubleshooting, and log analysis.

• Knowledge of unit testing and software quality principles.

• Ability to interpret functional and technical requirements and translate them into software modifications.

• Basic understanding of the software development lifecycle, including development, testing, user acceptance testing, and deployment.

• Familiar with agile methodologies and experience working in multidisciplinary teams.

• Strong investigative and problem-solving abilities.

• Good verbal and written communication skills for engaging with technical teams.

• Organized and responsible in tracking assigned tasks.

• Collaborative attitude, technical curiosity, and a continuous desire to learn and grow.

• Ability to work under the mentorship of more experienced professionals and incorporate feedback from code reviews.

• Previous experience in supporting and maintaining systems/AMS is preferred.

• Experience with enterprise applications, retail or e-commerce, CI/CD, cloud technologies, observability, microservices, messaging, and integrations is preferred.

• Knowledge of Clean Code principles and SOLID principles is a plus.
