This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Evaluate current BusinessObjects reports, including Web Intelligence and Crystal Reports, while documenting data sources, calculations, and business rules with support from senior developers.
• Create and enhance reports, dashboards, and visualizations in QlikView and/or Qlik Sense according to established specifications and migration mappings.
• Confirm migrated reports against original BusinessObjects outputs and document any matches, discrepancies, and data concerns.
• Develop and adjust SQL queries to extract, compare, and verify data.
• Provide assistance in troubleshooting report errors and data issues, escalating complex problems to senior developers as needed.
• Update Qlik load scripts and expressions under the guidance of senior developers.
• Manage migration trackers, mapping documents, and records of logic alterations and known discrepancies.
• Migrate scheduled jobs, distribution lists, and report connections as assigned.
• Assist with user acceptance testing, training materials, and knowledge-transfer documentation.
• Facilitate the migration of reporting assets from SAP BusinessObjects to Qlik under the supervision of senior report developers.
• Experience in report development, business intelligence, data analysis, or a similar role.
• Practical experience with at least one business intelligence tool, such as Qlik Sense, QlikView, SAP BusinessObjects, Power BI, or Tableau.
• Proficient knowledge of SQL for querying and data validation.
• Basic understanding of data modeling, relational databases, and ETL concepts.
• Strong attention to detail when comparing data and testing report outputs.
• Ability to adhere to technical specifications and clearly document work.
• Willingness to learn about both legacy and modern reporting platforms.
• Eager to learn and comfortable seeking clarification on unfamiliar code and business rules.
• Methodical and detail-oriented approach to validating and testing report outputs.
• Capable of following direction and completing assigned tasks independently.
• Effective communicator who promptly reports progress, issues, and discrepancies.
• Public Trust security level required.
• Nice-to-have: Experience with SAP BusinessObjects, including Web Intelligence, Crystal Reports, or universes.
• Nice-to-have: Familiarity with Qlik set analysis, scripting, or data modeling.
• Nice-to-have: Involvement in a business intelligence migration or platform transition project.
• Nice-to-have: Knowledge of Python or other scripting languages for automation.
• Nice-to-have: Familiarity with Oracle or SQL Server.
• Nice-to-have: Qlik Sense Business Analyst or Data Architect certification, or progress towards one.
