Junior Data Product & AI Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Assist internal teams in linking their data to the central Data Platform.

• Help establish data access and infrastructure components, including IAM roles, Lake Formation, Airflow connections, and secrets.

• Work alongside business teams to ensure data quality and consistency between source systems and the Data Platform.

• Play a role in enhancing the developer experience, for instance, through AI-assisted development tools or local development environments.

• Encourage knowledge sharing and support the growth of data expertise throughout the organization.

• Aid in the integration of new data sources and migrations to the AWS-based platform.

• Create innovative data engineering solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Practical experience in data engineering, data analytics, or data platforms, gained through professional roles, working student positions, internships, or personal initiatives.

• Fundamental understanding of data modeling and data structuring.

• Basic proficiency in SQL.

• Initial exposure to data engineering tools such as dbt, Airflow, and Git.

• Interest in cloud technologies.

• Basic understanding of data access concepts and role- and permission-based access is advantageous.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Enthusiasm for agile methodologies.
