Junior Data Product & AI Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Assist internal teams in linking their data to the central Data Platform.

• Help establish data access and infrastructure components, including IAM roles, Lake Formation, Airflow connections, and secrets.

• Collaborate on ensuring data quality and consistency between source systems and the Data Platform.

• Contribute to enhancing the Developer Experience, for instance, through AI-assisted development tools or local development environments.

• Encourage knowledge sharing and aid in developing data expertise throughout the organization.

• Provide support to Product and Business teams with integrating new data sources and transitioning to the AWS-based platform.

⛳️ Requirements

• Relevant practical experience in Data Engineering, Data Analytics, or Data Platforms, acquired through professional roles, internships, working student positions, or personal projects.

• Fundamental understanding of data modeling and data structuring.

• Basic knowledge of SQL.

• Initial exposure to data engineering tools such as dbt, Airflow, and Git.

• Interest in cloud technologies.

• Basic comprehension of data access, along with role and permission concepts, is a plus.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Interest in agile methodologies.

• Proactive mindset and eagerness to learn.

• Readiness to assume responsibility and pursue professional development.
