Java Technical Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Czechia.

📋 Description

• Facilitate effective communication with client project stakeholders concerning project status and recommendations.

• Develop efficient, high-performance, testable, scalable, secure, and high-quality client code.

• Engage in planning and estimation utilizing project methodologies and tools.

• Collect requirements and organize/present developed features to clients.

• Carry out complex tasks in accordance with methodologies and quality standards across various engagements.

• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and managers to comprehend user pain points, foresee issues, and iterate on solutions.

• Take part in agile software development practices, including stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and governance activities.

• Contribute to the Engineering Practice community and mentor others through Communities of Practice or project teams.

• Lead project delivery within established architecture from conceptualization to deployment.

• Assume technical responsibility for delivered solutions and engage in account-level architectural activities.

• Assist in eliminating delivery roadblocks and drive initiatives that enhance client value.

• Collaborate with PDM to refine processes, ensure successful delivery, and identify project risks.

• Conduct requirements analysis, coding, design, implementation, testing, problem analysis and resolution, and technical documentation.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5+ years of experience/expertise in Java 11, EclipseLink or similar Hibernate, JSF2, Bootstrap, CSS3, Oracle DB, AWS, Ansible, and Jenkins.

• Strong proficiency in Java 8 or Java 11.

• Willingness to engage in UI tasks using JSF.

• Experience with JPA implementations such as Hibernate or EclipseLink.

• Familiarity with relational databases, web frameworks, and Maven/Gradle.

• Experience in unit testing.

• Technical accountability for delivered solutions.

• Cross-team collaboration with 3Pillar and client teams.

• Participation in account-level architectural activities.

• Capability to assist teams in overcoming delivery obstacles.

• Experience in driving initiatives that deliver client value beyond routine activities.

• Ability to partner with PDM to enhance processes, ensure successful delivery, and highlight project risks.

• Additional preferred experience with Bootstrap, jQuery, CSS3, Ansible or Chef, JBoss/WildFly, JSF2 or PrimeFaces, Oracle DB, AWS, and CloudFormation.
