IT Systems Engineer I

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Handle and address escalated service requests, incidents, and change requests.

• Diagnose issues with Line of Business (LOB) applications, Microsoft Office, web browsers, networking, VPN/RDS/Citrix, wireless connectivity, and peripheral devices.

• Execute virus and malware removal, remediate phishing emails, manage virtual server resource adjustments, and reset application passwords.

• Identify recurring problems and create problem tickets.

• Suggest enhancements to supported hardware and software, focusing on improving security measures.

• Keep accurate real-time timesheets and detailed notes on troubleshooting efforts and client communications.

• Participate in the on-call rotation approximately once every 3 to 4 months.

• Facilitate client success by resolving intricate technical issues while adhering to the VC3 Way standards and procedures.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant technical experience OR at least 1 year in the Service Technician I or II role at VC3.

• Over 2 years of experience managing Windows Services, Microsoft/Office 365, Active Directory, Group Policies (GPOs), virus and security protocols, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, Hyper-V, and VMware.

• CompTIA Network+ or A+, Microsoft 365, or Azure certifications are strongly preferred.

• Proficiency in Active Directory and Group Policy Management.

• Solid experience working within the Microsoft 365 Partner Center/Entra ID.

• The selected candidate will undergo criminal and Department of Motor Vehicles background checks.

• May need to comply with Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) requirements after employment.
