IT Security Analyst II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +2 more locations.

📋 Description

• Act as the main internal liaison for the organization's cybersecurity protocols, ensuring monitoring, reporting, and ongoing enhancements.

• Supervise the security services provided by the managed service provider (MSP).

• Evaluate the MSP’s outputs and suggestions.

• Coordinate internal responses and guarantee that identified risks and necessary actions are managed.

• Oversee regular security assessments, reporting, incident and vulnerability follow-ups, documentation, and customer security audits.

• Communicate security findings, risks, and proposed strategies to senior management, clients, and internal teams.

• Assist the CIO and IT Manager.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in cybersecurity, IT operations, security operations, systems administration, IT risk management, compliance, or a similar technical position.

• Solid understanding of prevalent cybersecurity threats, technologies, controls, and operational practices.

• Experience collaborating with an MSP, managed security service provider, technology vendor, or outsourced IT firm.

• Capacity to critically assess reports, investigations, recommendations, and technical tasks performed by outside providers.

• Experience in reviewing security alerts, dashboards, vulnerability assessments, logs, or reports.

• Excellent written communication, organizational skills, and ability to follow through.

• Background in preparing reports, presentations, audit responses, or security communications.

• Good judgment in security investigation, prioritization, and escalation processes.

• Capability to work autonomously and communicate efficiently in a remote setting.

• Availability during standard Eastern Time business hours, with reasonable flexibility for incidents, audits, or project requirements.

• Experience in life sciences, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, healthcare, clinical research, or other regulated environments.

• Knowledge of regulations such as GxP, HIPAA, FDA guidelines, 21 CFR Part 11, validated systems, or data integrity practices.

• Experience supporting audits, regulatory inspections, or formal control evaluations.

• Background in project coordination related to security technology, compliance, or process enhancements.

• Relevant certifications such as Security+, CySA+, SSCP, CISA, GIAC, or Microsoft security credentials.
