IT Quality Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +5 more states.

📋 Description

• Conduct software testing to guarantee impeccable performance and compliance with established standards.

• Create and implement both automated and manual test scripts for newly developed and modified applications.

• Examine program documentation, diagrams, and flowcharts to verify functionality and adherence to prescribed guidelines.

• Engage in agile ceremonies as relevant.

• Collaborate with developers and business units to formulate and validate test plans.

• Evaluate workflows and propose quality enhancements for future configurations.

• Draft and uphold documentation for testing procedures and outcomes.

• Provide updates on problem resolution and recommend process improvements.

• Undertake responsibilities outside of regular working hours when business requirements necessitate.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business, or a related field of experience.

• 2–5 years of experience in IT Quality Assurance.

• Proficiency in automated testing using third-party tools.

• Familiarity with Leapworks or other test automation tools is preferred but not mandatory.

• Experience with agile/scrum methodologies.

• Strong proficiency in PC Windows and mainframe CICS environments.

• Comprehensive understanding of IT concepts, applications, and Quality Assurance methodologies.

• Knowledge of black box, white box, smoke, and unit testing techniques.

• Ability to assess test effectiveness, monitor progress, and report results clearly.

• Experience with Jira and Confluence.

• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.

• Quick learner with the capacity to adapt to new testing methodologies.

• Expertise in business processes and a strong commitment to the end-user perspective.

• Willingness to perform tasks outside of regular working hours as business needs arise.
