IT Project Manager, Facilities and Real Estate Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Oversee the complete lifecycle delivery of IT projects, with a focus on Real Estate and Facilities initiatives, including site construction, relocations, and upgrades.

• Gather and manage requirements from business stakeholders and Corporate IT.

• Establish project Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and IT work packages.

• Create and oversee project plans, timelines, budgets, risk management plans, and dependencies.

• Act as the IT lead for office openings, consolidations, and closures.

• Collaborate with Real Estate on site design to ensure compliance with IT infrastructure standards.

• Coordinate the implementation of network, AV, end-user computing, security systems, and IoT/smart building technologies.

• Develop IT readiness requirements and documentation for Real Estate project gating.

• Generate cost estimates and rough-order-of-magnitude IT estimates for budgeting purposes.

• Review architectural diagrams, including low-voltage plans, and coordinate site connectivity with infrastructure teams and telecom providers.

• Serve as the primary liaison for business stakeholders, Facilities teams, and third-party vendors.

• Manage vendor deliverables, contracts, and performance metrics.

• Provide leadership with status updates, risk assessments, and escalation pathways.

• Oversee project budgets, financial tracking, KPIs, risks, documentation, and governance compliance.

• Contribute to IT site deployment playbooks, document lessons learned, recommend process enhancements, and promote the use of standardized tools.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or a related field.

• 8-10+ years of experience in IT project management, focusing on delivering IT infrastructure equipment and capabilities to internal/external stakeholders or customers.

• Proven experience managing IT projects related to Real Estate / Facilities, such as office construction, relocations, or significant renovations.

• Familiarity with IT infrastructure domains, including networking, end-user computing, AV, and security systems.

• Strong understanding of project management methodologies, including Waterfall, Agile, or hybrid approaches.

• Experience in managing cross-functional programs involving Facilities, Construction, and IT teams.

• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, vendors, and multiple concurrent projects.

• Experience using project management and portfolio tools, such as ServiceNow PPM, MS Project, Jira, or similar.

• Proficiency in collaboration and reporting tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.

• PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification, or actively pursuing such certification.

• Willingness to travel to site locations as needed.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer at the time of hire.

• Must be eligible or able to obtain authorization for access to controlled technical information, including eligibility for the Canadian Controlled Goods Program and a Canadian Enhanced Reliability security clearance.

• Standard working hours are Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm ET or 9am to 6pm ET; after-hours and/or weekend work may be required.

• Travel may be expected up to 20% when multiple real estate projects are actively underway, including travel to the United States.
