IT Project and Delivery Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Oversee technology and business projects from their inception to delivery, transition, and conclusion.

• Create and uphold project plans, schedules, milestones, resource allocations, budgets, risks, dependencies, and progress reports.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business units, engineering, infrastructure, security, quality assurance, operations, and external partners.

• Sustain delivery momentum, drive tasks to completion, and ensure clear ownership and accountability.

• Relay project status, risks, decisions, financial implications, and necessary actions to stakeholders and senior leadership.

• Guide initiatives from start to finish utilizing Waterfall, Agile (Scrum, Kanban), or Hybrid delivery methodologies.

• Facilitate Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily standups, reviews, retrospectives, and backlog refinement sessions.

• Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Sponsors, and Technical Leads to organize and sequence delivery into phases, releases, epics, and tasks.

• Oversee project budgets, forecasts, resource hours, fixed bid costs, accruals, and financial discrepancies using Microsoft Project Server.

• Identify and manage risks, issues, assumptions, constraints, and dependencies across teams.

• Proactively escalate blockers, resource limitations, and critical decisions.

• Assist with resource planning, onboarding, allocation, and transition efforts.

• Coordinate production releases and change processes in ServiceNow, including day-of-release coordination.

• Ensure the completion of testing, approvals, documentation, communication, support plans, and operational handovers.

• Aid in cutover planning, go-live coordination, hypercare, and transition to operations.

• Maintain alignment with Software Development Lifecycle, security, compliance, and change management standards.

• Lead intricate business and technical discussions with global stakeholders.

• Prepare updates for project teams, senior management, and steering committees.

• Facilitate decision-making by presenting facts, options, trade-offs, and recommendations.

• Foster alignment across teams and hold stakeholders accountable for their commitments.

• Encourage collaboration, transparency, ownership, and a culture of continuous improvement.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience as an IT Project Manager, Delivery Manager, Program Manager, or Scrum Master.

• Demonstrated experience delivering business-facing technical projects within international enterprise environments.

• Proficiency in Waterfall, Agile (Scrum, Kanban), and Hybrid iterative delivery models.

• Experience in project planning, financial management, resource management, risk management, production change, and release management.

• Strong knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle and technology delivery processes.

• Exceptional leadership, facilitation, stakeholder management, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.

• Capability to independently lead complex discussions, provide recommendations, and drive decisions and actions.

• Familiarity with Jira, Microsoft Project / Project Server, Confluence, ServiceNow, or similar tools.

• Proficient in English, both written and spoken.

• Proven track record of working with global, multicultural, and distributed teams.

• Experience in the insurance, financial services, or other regulated industries.

• Exposure to business transformation, managed services, or service transition initiatives.

• Experience with multi-squad delivery models, vendors, or globally distributed partners.

• Understanding of portfolio governance, compliance, security, audit, and enterprise technology controls.

• A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field is preferred.

• Relevant professional experience may be considered in lieu of a specific academic degree.
