IT Project and Delivery Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Oversee business-oriented and technology projects from their inception through to delivery, transition, and closure.

• Establish and uphold project plans, schedules, milestones, resource allocations, budgets, risks, dependencies, and status reports.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across business, engineering, infrastructure, security, quality assurance, operations, and external partners.

• Sustain delivery momentum, drive actions to completion, and ensure clear ownership and accountability.

• Convey project status, risks, decisions, financial implications, and required actions to stakeholders and senior leadership.

• Lead initiatives utilizing Waterfall, Agile (Scrum, Kanban), or Hybrid delivery methodologies.

• Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, reviews, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.

• Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Sponsors, and Technical Leads to structure and sequence delivery into phases, releases, epics, and tasks.

• Manage project budgets, forecasts, resource hours, fixed bid costs, accruals, and financial variances using Microsoft Project Server.

• Identify and oversee risks, issues, assumptions, constraints, and dependencies among teams.

• Proactively escalate blockers, resource constraints, and critical decisions.

• Assist in resource planning, onboarding, allocation, and transition activities.

• Coordinate production release and change processes within ServiceNow.

• Manage day-of-release coordination with technical teams to ensure smooth deployment.

• Ensure completion of testing, approvals, documentation, communication, support plans, and operational handovers.

• Support cutover planning, go-live coordination, hypercare, and transition to operations.

• Guarantee alignment with Software Development Lifecycle, security, compliance, and change management standards.

• Lead intricate business and technical discussions with global stakeholders.

• Prepare updates for project teams, senior management, and steering committees.

• Facilitate decision-making by presenting facts, options, trade-offs, and recommendations.

• Build consensus across teams and hold stakeholders accountable for their commitments.

• Encourage collaboration, transparency, ownership, and continuous improvement.


⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as an IT Project Manager, Delivery Manager, Program Manager, or Scrum Master.

• Demonstrated experience in delivering business-facing technical projects within international enterprise environments.

• Proficiency in Waterfall, Agile (Scrum, Kanban), and Hybrid iterative delivery models.

• Experience in project planning, financial management, resource management, risk management, production change, and release management.

• Deep understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle and technology delivery processes.

• Strong leadership, facilitation, stakeholder management, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.

• Capability to independently lead complex discussions, provide recommendations, and drive decisions and actions.

• Familiarity with Jira, Microsoft Project / Project Server, Confluence, ServiceNow, or similar tools.

• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

• Proven experience working with global, multicultural, and distributed teams.

• Experience in insurance, financial services, or another regulated industry.

• Background in business transformation, managed services, or service transition initiatives.

• Certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, Scrum Master, SAFe, PMI-ACP, or equivalent are preferred.

• Experience working with multi-squad delivery models, vendors, or globally distributed partners.

• Familiarity with portfolio governance, compliance, security, audit, and enterprise technology controls.

• A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field is preferred.

• Relevant professional experience may be accepted in lieu of a specific academic background.

• This is a Brazil-based role.

• Proficiency in spoken and written English is essential.

• Schedule flexibility may be occasionally necessary for global meetings, critical milestones, production releases, or project transitions.
