
IT Product Manager, Intelligent Automation – Contract-to-Hire

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of the strategy, roadmap, and execution of the intelligent automation portfolio that includes AI-enabled solutions and robotic process automation (RPA).
• Collaborate with clinical, operational, and corporate stakeholders to pinpoint high-value automation opportunities.
• Convert automation opportunities into a prioritized backlog and lead the delivery through agile teams and vendor partners.
• Oversee the entire product lifecycle from opportunity discovery and business case creation to build, deployment, user adoption, and realization of value.
• Create and maintain product documentation, communication and training materials, business requirements, and user stories.
• Track vendor performance and ensure compliance with SLAs and contractual obligations.
• Work alongside vendors on platform improvements, integrations, and solution designs.
• Assist in supporting the intelligent automation governance model and its adoption.
• Manage vendor product lifecycles from inception to retirement.
• Coordinate product launches and new implementations with development and business teams.
• Facilitate user acceptance testing and validation for iterative technology releases.
• Grasp stakeholder business challenges, processes, requirements, and feedback across various departments.
• Communicate product strategies, progress, and outcomes to stakeholders, executives, and team members.
• Lead user groups to promote best practices and knowledge sharing.
• Develop and uphold a product roadmap that aligns with the company's strategy and customer needs.
• Prioritize features and enhancements based on business value and customer impact.
• Draft requirements and detailed user stories with acceptance criteria.
• Conduct market and competitive analysis, utilizing data-driven insights for platform decisions.
• Apply Agile methodologies to oversee product development cycles.
• Provide estimates, collaborate with project managers on timelines and resource needs, eliminate obstacles, and promote continuous improvement.
• Identify and address vendor-product risks and formulate contingency plans.
• Serve as the voice of the customer to ensure outstanding user experiences.
• Analyze reported issues to identify root causes.
• May provide Tier II application support to users.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
• Strong background in product governance and AI.
• Process- and data-driven mentality; capable of collaborating across multiple departments on complex solutions.
• Experience in managing an Agile development team and leading iterative technology releases.
• Proven experience in supporting product adoption through effective communication, training, and iterative enhancements.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and leadership abilities.
• Ability to convert business challenges into technical requirements, workflows, wireframes, and/or data models.
• Strategic mindset with a history of innovative problem-solving.
• Alignment with Sound’s mission, vision, and core values.
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
• Familiarity with the hospital medicine sector and Sound Physicians’ mission is advantageous.
• Demonstrated experience in AI adoption and governance.
• 4 years of experience writing business requirements, user stories, process flows, and supporting documentation.
• Experience in implementing backend agentic AI functionality.
• Proven experience in leading projects and iterative technology development.
• Potential for future conversion to a permanent position, subject to business needs and organizational approval.
• Full-time contract position.
