IT Network System Engineer, LAN/WLAN

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Lithuania.

📋 Description

• Manage and set up LAN and WLAN systems at client sites

• Independently execute customer LAN/WLAN projects

• Guarantee ongoing and reliable network functionality

• Diagnose and resolve issues in network environments

• Conduct error analysis and determine root causes within network contexts

• Offer 2nd level support for inquiries related to networks

• Generate reports and document network configurations

⛳️ Requirements

• Completed apprenticeship as an IT specialist or a bachelor's degree in computer science

• Several years of professional experience in network support

• Proficient in TCP/IP and OSI Layers 1-7

• Strong knowledge of Cisco Catalyst Series, including the 9000 Series Switch and Catalyst WLAN Controller

• Experience in measuring and simulating WLAN infrastructures is a plus

• Additional familiarity with Cisco Meraki, Cisco Catalyst/DNA Center, and Ruckus LAN/WLAN components is advantageous

• Understanding of Ansible, Python, and APIs for network components

• Basic knowledge of network management tools like Zabbix, Netbox, and openNMS

• Relevant Cisco certifications such as CCNA or CCNP are preferred

• Business fluent in English, both written and spoken

• Proficiency in the German language is desirable
