This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of the operational health, availability, and performance of Azure environments encompassing multiple subscriptions and workloads.
• Manage and provide support for Azure compute, networking, storage, identity, and platform services.
• Monitor workloads utilizing Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights to ensure actionable alerting and prompt responses.
• Engage in incident response, root cause analysis, and post-incident remediation efforts.
• Conduct platform maintenance, upgrades, security remediation, and configuration modifications.
• Collaborate with security and compliance teams to meet organizational and regulatory needs.
• Assist in Azure cost visibility and optimization initiatives.
• Implement and uphold Azure infrastructure through Infrastructure as Code.
• Ensure standardized Azure deployments conforming to naming, tagging, diagnostics, and security best practices.
• Support Azure governance capabilities, including management groups, Azure Policy, RBAC, and subscription structures.
• Automate operational tasks utilizing PowerShell, Azure CLI, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Work closely with application and DevOps teams to develop secure and scalable Azure solutions.
• Interact with business and IT partners to comprehend their needs, align them with Azure services, and suggest enhancements.
• Participate in IT huddles, all-hands meetings, and collaborative work sessions.
• Cross-train IT Operations team members and act as an operational alternate when necessary.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, operational runbooks, and platform standards.
• Monitor and report on platform operational metrics on a monthly and quarterly basis.
• Enhance platform design and operations in line with Microsoft’s Azure Well-Architected Framework and business requirements.
• Respond effectively to incidents to minimize recurrence and bolster platform resilience.
• Over 5 years of experience in infrastructure, cloud, or systems engineering roles.
• More than 3 years of direct experience with Microsoft Azure in production environments.
• Proven experience supporting and operating cloud platforms within an enterprise context.
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred; equivalent experience will be taken into account.
• Preferred possession of Microsoft Azure certifications.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Azure IaaS and PaaS services.
• Experience in implementing or maintaining Infrastructure as Code using Bicep, ARM, or Terraform.
• Scripting and automation skills using PowerShell and/or Azure CLI.
• Solid understanding of Azure identity, networking, and security fundamentals.
• Familiarity with Azure Policy, RBAC, and governance frameworks.
• Fluency in the Azure Well-Architected Framework.
• A mature orthodox Christian faith as articulated by the Apostles’ Creed.
