IT Infrastructure Engineer – Windows, Active Directory, VMware

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, maintain, and enhance server infrastructure for both Windows and Linux environments.

• Oversee and upkeep virtualization, storage, and backup systems.

• Manage Windows Active Directory and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI).

• Provide support for enterprise applications and services running on Windows and Linux systems, including email and business applications.

• Administer infrastructure management and support systems, which encompass monitoring, patch management, configuration management, and access control services.

• Strategize and carry out OS patching and infrastructure upgrades in line with company policies.

• Lead small to medium-sized infrastructure projects and engage in larger infrastructure initiatives.

• Conduct qualification, validation, troubleshooting, and performance enhancement of infrastructure systems.

• Maintain a precise inventory of infrastructure assets, warranties, and related services.

• Collaborate with infrastructure vendors, including overseeing deliveries, contract execution, and vendor activities.

• Create and update technical documentation, procedures, and system standards.

• Work in partnership with Network & Connectivity and Cloud & Modern Workplace teams on cross-domain projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

• Full professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken.

• Strong practical experience with Windows Server and Active Directory.

• Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies.

• Familiarity with Windows and/or Linux server administration.

• Experience in enterprise infrastructure services such as PKI and email/MTA technologies.

• Proficient in backup and disaster recovery solutions.

• Experience in designing, implementing, and managing infrastructure projects.

• Knowledge of infrastructure monitoring, patch management, and configuration management.

• Ability to troubleshoot intricate infrastructure issues and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.

• Experience with VMware, Proxmox, or Hyper-V.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure and hybrid infrastructure environments.

• Experience with Azure Arc and Azure Update Manager.

• Proficient in using Zabbix or other infrastructure monitoring platforms.

• Knowledge of PowerShell or other scripting languages for infrastructure automation.

• Experience with Microsoft Exchange, Sendmail, or Postfix.

• Familiarity with Veeam or similar backup technologies.

• Understanding of ITIL, change management, qualification, and validation processes.

• Relevant certifications in Microsoft, virtualization, Linux, or other infrastructure areas.
