IT Implementation Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.

📋 Description

• Collaborate closely with the Center Leadership and the IT Leadership Team to assess, plan, implement, and transition IT support to the AMSURG Managed IT Services Team.

• Identify existing systems and workflows at various centers.

• Develop transition plans and communication strategies.

• Facilitate the transition of services and document environments for IT Service Delivery to take over operational support.

• Design Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Azure solutions for centers moving from on-premises setups to cloud environments.

• Foster strong relationships with Center Leadership, including Operations Leads, Center Leaders, and IT providers.

• Assess IT security and provide expert guidance.

• Review IT contracts and offer recommendations.

• Conduct site visits to assess, document, and plan migrations to AMSURG IT Services.

• Create thorough documentation for center configurations and systems.

• Understand and effectively communicate the value and offerings of AMSURG IT Services.

• Architect, build, and secure strategies for Microsoft 365 and Azure, including Azure Virtual Networks, Azure Virtual Machines, and Azure Virtual Network Gateways.

• Monitor Azure subscriptions to ensure solutions remain within budgetary constraints.

• Collaborate with existing IT providers to gather information for the transition to the Service Delivery team.

• Assess IT equipment against company standards and recommend necessary replacements.

• Evaluate and document networks and dependencies, including VPN connectivity, VLANs, and vendor equipment.

• Assess and document server infrastructure and line-of-business applications.

• Maintain consistent and reliable attendance.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field; relevant work experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.

• A minimum of seven (7+) years of IT experience within an enterprise environment.

• Experience in project management.

• Over 5 years of experience with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365.

• Experience in administration, architecture, and management.

• Proficient in server management.

• Experience with hypervisors such as VMWare ESXi and/or Microsoft Hyper-V.

• Knowledge of network infrastructure.

• Familiarity with risk assessment tools, systems, and application architecture.

• Proficient in understanding, reading, writing, and speaking English.

• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.

• Capable of writing business correspondence.

• Ability to present information, respond to inquiries, and interact professionally with managers, employees, clients, vendors, and the general public.

• Competent in identifying and defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, drawing valid conclusions, and correcting errors.

• Ability to understand and interpret basic financial data.

• Effective at managing multiple simultaneous tasks efficiently.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Detail-oriented and organized.

• High level of integrity, including the maintenance of confidential information.

• Ability to exercise sound judgment and positively influence and lead others.

• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends, as required by the business.

• Prior experience in healthcare is preferred.
