IT Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee IT disaster recovery and business continuity initiatives.

• Create, execute, and sustain relevant processes, policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines.

• Assist with both internal and external audits for ISO and SOC2.

• Communicate and provide updates to senior leadership and executives.

• Utilize expertise in IT operations, risk management, information security, ITIL processes, hosting, and cloud technologies.

• Establish strong working relationships across diverse, multivendor, multidisciplinary teams in various countries.

• Identify and apply AI and automation solutions to enhance ITSM process efficiency, governance, decision-making, and service outcomes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Comprehensive knowledge of best practices in business continuity and disaster recovery.

• Solid understanding of industry standards such as ITIL, Lean Six Sigma, ISO 2700x, and SOC2.

• Familiarity with Business Continuity Management and Disaster Recovery standards, including ISO 27031/22301.

• Knowledge of audit methodologies for IT operations.

• Strong grasp of IT and business processes, including challenges and their impact on products, tools, technologies, and policies.

• Proven experience in developing, implementing, and maintaining processes, policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines.

• Exceptional leadership abilities and capacity to collaborate effectively with business managers, IT engineering, and IT operations personnel.

• Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and independent judgment capabilities.

• Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.

• High proficiency in spoken, written, and reading English.

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

• Over 8 years of experience in Information Technology, including 4 years of hands-on experience in IT Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery.

• Experience in facilitating ISO and SOC2 internal and external audits.

• Proven track record in engaging and briefing senior leadership and executives.

• In-depth understanding of industry standards and regulations.

• Background in Risk Management.

• Current knowledge of hosting and cloud technologies.

• Familiarity with ITIL processes.

• Experience in Information Security Management.

• Proven experience working in diverse, multivendor, multidisciplinary teams across various countries.

• Willingness to embrace artificial intelligence and seek out automation opportunities.
