This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +8 more states.
• Evaluate current systems and business procedures
• Determine strategies for enhancing processes and systems
• Create business cases for improvements in processes and technology
• Support project management tasks to implement approved enhancements to systems and services
• Advocate for the requirements of diverse business units within the University
• Collaborate with the ITS team to deploy infrastructure, functionalities, and support initiatives
• Lead project teams and institutional leadership groups utilizing BABOK methodologies
• Direct projects applying PMBOK methodologies
• Employ Six Sigma methodologies for the enhancement of business processes
• Manage university portfolio management processes
• Act as the main point of contact for customers to comprehend core business operations and discover improvement prospects
• Allocate time and resources based on university and departmental priorities
• Conduct needs assessments and pinpoint business requirements
• Remove repetitive manual tasks
• Assess the effects of new or altered systems and processes and oversee implementation
• Coordinate with ITS personnel, functional users, and vendors on aspects of security, sustainability, disaster recovery, and business continuity
• Create functional requirements, workflow diagrams, project plans, project timelines, responsibility assignment matrices, and project documentation
• Maintain updated project, communication, testing, and training documentation within three business days following approved changes
• Clearly articulate project purpose, objectives, goals, and plans
• Set timelines and manage resources to deliver solutions within approved timeframes and budget constraints
• Independently oversee assigned projects and project components
• Plan for account provisioning, user access, system integration, and data security/integrity
• Build partnerships with business units and ITS teams to address operational challenges
• Investigate root causes and create documentation, training materials, and tip sheets
• Examine business processes and systems to optimize resources and enhance university ROI
• Undertake additional special projects, tasks, and responsibilities as assigned
• Minimum of 2 years of progressive experience as a Business Analyst
• Experience in Project Management is highly advantageous
• Experience in CRM implementation/optimization is highly preferred
• Experience in Salesforce implementation/optimization is highly preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business administration, or a comparable combination of education and experience
• Business Analyst certification is a plus
• Credentials in business process improvement are a plus
• Certification in Project Management is a plus
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Positive attitude and a solutions-oriented mindset
• Proficiency in MS Word
• Proficiency in MS Excel
• Familiarity with project management tools
• Knowledge of workflow diagramming tools
• Capacity to work in a virtual environment using software technology, including virtual meeting tools, Instant Messaging, and Canvas Learning Management System (LMS)
• Ability to efficiently operate a computer and its peripheral devices
• Capability to sit or stand for six to eight hours
