This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Support the development of financial analyses and reports, which encompass operational budgets, financial statements, statistical reports, cost analyses, and other financial data.
• Assist in the creation of annual operating budgets for CAMC departments, ensuring they are accurate and adhere to university standards.
• Conduct financial analysis and generate reports for CAMC departments to pinpoint strategic opportunities, risks, alternatives, and contingencies.
• Aid the Director of Budgets and Business Services in coordinating Duke University's annual and quarterly financial reports for review by senior management and the Board of Trustees.
• Collaborate with financial managers from business units regarding financial status, cash flows, accounts, budgets, financial transactions, and other related financial issues.
• Support the year-end closing process for CAMC departments and relay significant budget variances to the Director.
• Undertake additional special projects and related responsibilities.
• A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent mix of relevant education and/or experience.
• A minimum of three (3) years of experience in financial management, cost accounting, or a field closely tied to the specialized area of assignment, or an equivalent mix of relevant education and/or experience.
• CPA certification is preferred.
• Outstanding oral and written communication abilities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Expertise in Microsoft Excel and SAP.
• Familiarity with Analysis for Office is preferred.
