IT Architect – Modern Workplace

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Create and uphold enterprise architecture for the Modern Workplace sector, encompassing endpoint management, collaboration platforms, and identity/access integration.

• Develop and steer roadmaps for Microsoft 365, Intune/Endpoint Manager, Windows 11, Apple Business Manager, Manage Engine Endpoint Central, Soti MDM, and associated client technologies.

• Design architecture and implementation strategy for AI-driven workplace tools, considering licensing, data governance, and security aspects.

• Outline and supervise the Digital Employee Experience strategy.

• Ensure that outsourced services conform to enterprise architecture standards.

• Set architecture standards, reference designs, and governance guidelines for device management, application deployment, and Zero Trust/Conditional Access policies.

• Develop responsible AI governance guidelines for the Modern Workplace domain in collaboration with security and compliance stakeholders.

• Assess and choose tools and technologies to enhance employee experience, security posture, and operational efficiency.

• Review emerging AI capabilities in endpoint and device management and evaluate their organizational suitability.

• Work in partnership with security, infrastructure, and service management teams to align the broader IT architecture.

• Provide support and guidance to technical teams during implementation as the design authority and escalation point.

• Generate and maintain architecture documentation, including solution designs, technical standards, and decision records.

• Analyze the impacts of new Microsoft/vendor releases and propose strategies for adoption.

• Assist with license optimization and workplace technology cost management.

• Counsel stakeholders by translating business needs into technical architecture decisions.

• Guide stakeholders on AI-driven features that can enhance employee productivity and self-service capabilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in IT architecture or senior engineering roles centered on end-user computing/Modern Workplace technologies.

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft 365, Microsoft Intune/Endpoint Manager, and Windows 11 client management.

• Proven track record of successfully delivering workplace roadmap initiatives.

• Thorough understanding of identity and access management concepts, including Azure AD/Entra ID, Conditional Access, and Zero Trust principles.

• Experience in device lifecycle management, covering Autopilot, provisioning, and patch management.

• Familiarity with Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive from an architectural viewpoint.

• Ability to create clear architecture documentation and communicate technical decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Experience with VDI and Digital Workspace platforms, including Azure Virtual Desktop, Windows 365, and VMware Horizon.

• Exposure to mobile device management/UEM for iOS, Android, and macOS.

• Background in ITIL-based service management settings.

• Experience in regulated or enterprise environments with intricate compliance requirements.

• Proficient in English at a business level.

• Must work remotely within Spain, Portugal, or India.
