IT Application Development Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Lead, mentor, and cultivate the Application Development team to produce secure, scalable, and high-quality enterprise applications that align with business objectives.

• Establish and promote software engineering standards, development practices, code quality, and technical governance.

• Collaborate with Business Analysts, business stakeholders, and technology teams to convert business goals into scalable technical solutions while ensuring the successful execution of strategic initiatives.

• Provide leadership in application architecture, solution methodologies, and complex development projects.

• Act as the primary escalation point for technical obstacles and critical production challenges.

• Offer leadership and governance for Duck Creek application development, configuration, integrations, and platform enhancements.

• Supervise the planning, prioritization, and execution of application development tasks.

• Work alongside partners to coordinate solution delivery, manage technical dependencies, and ensure the successful implementation of enterprise initiatives.

• Promote continuous enhancement of software development processes.

• Ensure applications are designed, developed, and maintained in accordance with enterprise architecture, security standards, compliance requirements, and technology governance.

• Carry out additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• At least 8 years of progressive experience in application development, software engineering, or enterprise application delivery.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in leading or managing software development teams within an enterprise setting.

• Proven experience in designing, developing, implementing, and supporting enterprise applications using contemporary software engineering principles and best practices.

• Strong technical foundation with the capability to provide architectural guidance and assess technical solutions.

• Demonstrated experience in managing employee performance, nurturing technical talent, and building high-performing engineering teams.

• Experience collaborating with business stakeholders to transform business requirements into scalable technical solutions and effectively deliver technology initiatives.
