Irrigation Maintenance Operator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Perform scheduled maintenance and inspections of irrigation systems.

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair irrigation components such as pipes, valves, sprinklers, and control systems.

• Configure irrigation controllers, including those powered by solar and battery.

• Execute minor modifications and enhancements to irrigation infrastructure.

• Conduct fault diagnostics utilizing tools like multi-meters and cable locators.

• Manage plant, equipment, and materials in accordance with fleet and asset management standards.

• Carry out safety inspections and actively encourage safe working practices.

• Collaborate with Parks Maintenance teams and contractors to facilitate efficient operations.

• Support the training and mentoring of team members as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Certificate in Irrigation, Turf, or Horticulture, or equivalent experience in irrigation maintenance and installation.

• Proven experience in maintaining commercial irrigation systems.

• Ability to read and interpret irrigation plans and schematics.

• Strong skills in fault-finding and diagnostics.

• Good understanding of workplace health and safety regulations.

• Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

• Strong work ethic and dedication to achieving quality results.

• Desirable: Basic competency in Worksite Traffic Management.

• First Aid Certificate.

• Essential Requirements: Year 10 Certificate.

• Safety Awareness Training Certificate.

• National Police Clearance (issued within the last 3 months).

• Valid ‘C’ Class Driver’s Licence.
