IRIS System Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Jordan.

📋 Description

• Create, develop, and sustain healthcare interoperability solutions utilizing InterSystems IRIS for Health, Ensemble, Caché, and ObjectScript.

• Execute and provide support for healthcare integration standards such as HL7 v2, HL7 v3, FHIR, CDA, and X12.

• Design ETL processes, establish data mappings, and create data transformation workflows that comply with FHIR standards.

• Construct, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs, SOAP services, and solutions using InterSystems API Manager.

• Develop backend services, business logic, routines, interfaces, and automated workflows tailored for healthcare applications.

• Implement healthcare terminology mappings, including SNOMED CT, ICD-10, and LOINC.

• Diagnose and rectify application, integration, interface, and performance challenges across healthcare platforms.

• Ensure adherence to HIPAA and relevant healthcare regulations.

• Produce and maintain technical documentation for integrations, APIs, FHIR implementations, and system architecture.

• Utilize Git, Atlassian tools, scripting, and DevOps methodologies to enhance deployment and operational efficiency.

• Facilitate secure, scalable, and dependable healthcare data exchange along with digital health initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Health Informatics, or a related discipline.

• One of the following certifications: InterSystems IRIS Certified Specialist; InterSystems IRIS for Health Certified Professional; InterSystems Certified Developer Professional.

• 3–5+ years of experience in healthcare integration and interoperability projects.

• Practical experience with InterSystems IRIS for Health and healthcare messaging standards.

• Proficient in ObjectScript, SQL, Python, PowerShell, or comparable technologies.

• Familiarity with healthcare security, data privacy, and compliance standards.

• Experience with InterSystems IRIS for Health, Ensemble, Caché, ObjectScript, HL7 v2, HL7 v3, FHIR, CDA, X12, ETL, data mappings, RESTful APIs, SOAP services, InterSystems API Manager, SNOMED CT, ICD-10, LOINC, Git, Atlassian tools, scripting, and DevOps practices.

• AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, HL7 FHIR, Healthcare IT, Systems Engineering, PMP, Agile, or Scrum certifications are viewed as advantageous.
