IP Quality Reviewer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Directly report to the Internal Quality Control Director.

• Evaluate and review medical record documentation, ensuring coding and abstracting accuracy in accordance with quality review policies and facility standards.

• Utilize ICD-10-CM/PCS and CPT coding classification systems.

• Examine patient records through the facility's EMR, scanning technology, or other established methods.

• Input all reviews daily into Guidehouse's proprietary quality review tracking and trending software.

• Address coder rebuttals within the timelines outlined in quality review policies and procedures.

• Carry out related job responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in medical coding or review.

• High School Diploma (Relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of formal education).

• Must possess one of the following active credentials: RHIT, RHIA, CCS, CPC, CIC, or COC.

• Must maintain the coding credential while employed with Guidehouse.

• Must successfully pass Guidehouse's coding competency exam.

• Previous auditing experience is preferred.

• Familiarity with ICD-10-CM/PCS and CPT coding classification systems.
