Investment Banking Associate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Develop intricate financial models utilizing historical financial data, operational assumptions, and comprehensive forecasts.

• Assess financial statements for precision and adherence to relevant accounting standards, including U.S. GAAP.

• Detect and rectify accounting classifications and discrepancies within financial reports.

• Produce detailed, polished, and visually appealing PowerPoint presentations.

• Assist in all phases of M&A deal execution, encompassing due diligence, financial analysis, marketing materials, and transaction documentation.

• Prepare clear, professional, client-oriented materials in English.

• Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders throughout the transaction processes.

• Leverage AI tools to enhance research, analysis, document preparation, and overall workflow efficiency.

• Manage multiple priorities and deliver precise work within stringent deadlines.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–5 years of relevant professional experience; candidates should possess a minimum of 2 years and a maximum of 10 years of applicable experience.

• Direct involvement in mergers and acquisitions.

• Strong capabilities in financial modeling and valuation.

• Solid comprehension of financial statements and U.S. GAAP.

• Advanced PowerPoint proficiency and a keen eye for presentation aesthetics.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

• High attention to detail and the capacity to work independently.

• Comfort with utilizing AI tools and adapting to new technology-driven workflows.

• Located in Colombia, preferably Bogotá, although outstanding candidates from other regions may be considered.

• Experience in investment banking, particularly within an M&A team, is highly regarded.

• Experience in strategy or management consulting involving M&A due diligence is also highly regarded.

• Experience in transaction advisory or M&A accounting at an accounting firm is strongly valued.

• Experience within private equity investment or acquisition teams is highly regarded.

• Experience in corporate development or internal M&A strategy is also strongly considered.
