This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Analyze investment evaluations, recommendations, and accompanying materials for precision and analytical integrity.
• Determine if investment conclusions are adequately supported by financial and business data.
• Recognize flawed assumptions, unsupported conclusions, and discrepancies in investment rationale.
• Examine valuation models, methodologies, assumptions, and supporting calculations.
• Evaluate valuation strategies, growth rates, margins, cash flows, discount rates, and comparable metrics.
• Detect mathematical, methodological, or conceptual inaccuracies in valuation tasks.
• Assess credit evaluations, borrower analyses, and credit-related recommendations.
• Review financial capacity, leverage, liquidity, cash flow, and repayment factors.
• Evaluate credit risks and the alignment of credit recommendations with financial data.
• Scrutinize spreadsheets, formulas, computations, assumptions, forecasts, and financial schedules.
• Assess investment and credit scenarios, sensitivities, downside risks, and significant financial threats.
• Review investment reports, valuation documents, credit assessments, spreadsheets, and presentation decks.
• Evaluate logical structure, clarity, usefulness for decision-making, charts, tables, visuals, and formatting.
• Deliver clear, organized written feedback highlighting strengths and weaknesses.
• Consistently apply evaluation standards across investment-related deliverables.
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in investment analysis, valuation, credit analysis, financial analysis, investment management, lending, or a closely related field.
• Background as an Investment Analyst, Credit Analyst, Valuation Analyst, Financial Analyst, Investment Associate, Credit Officer, or a similar position.
• Strong practical knowledge of investment analysis, valuation, and credit evaluation.
• Experience in developing or reviewing investment analyses, valuation models, credit evaluations, financial models, or related reports.
• Strong quantitative judgment and ability to assess financial assumptions and conclusions.
• Highly skilled in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
• Advanced expertise in PowerPoint / Google Slides.
• Strong capabilities in spreadsheets and financial modeling.
• Native or professional proficiency in English.
• Exceptional written communication skills and the ability to provide accurate, structured feedback.
• Keen attention to detail in financial, analytical, and presentation aspects.
• A Master's degree or higher from a recognized institution is a plus.
• Work must be performed without utilizing confidential or proprietary information from any employer, client, institution, or other third party.
• H1-B and STEM OPT support is not available for this position.
• Part-time independent contractor position.
