This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom, +2 more countries.
• Take charge of initial stock distribution across five retail locations and online commerce.
• Offer assortment and intake planning insights to the Product and Buying teams.
• Facilitate replenishment and identify areas for increased inventory depth for fast-selling items.
• Suggest inter-store stock transfers to address understock, overstock, and availability issues.
• Oversee store capacity planning efforts.
• Keep track of size and SKU-level availability, including broken size curves and missing core sizes.
• Evaluate sell-through rates, weeks of cover, stock turnover, sales rates, and aging inventory.
• Manage the recurring weekly inventory merchandising process.
• Generate prioritized actions for allocation, replenishment, transfers, store capacity, and reordering.
• Maintain stock-action queues and monitor execution with Warehouse Operations and Retail teams.
• Enhance stock productivity across both physical stores and e-commerce platforms.
• Operate, quality-assure, and analyze the existing inventory model.
• Identify exceptions or weaknesses in the model and collaborate with the Founder and the Business Systems & Technology Operations to refine decision-making logic.
• Drive measurable advancements in stock availability, best-seller capture, replenishment speed, stock turnover, reduction of aged stock, capacity productivity, stock balance, buying signals, action execution, and reliability of the inventory model.
• Minimize the routine inventory decision-making dependence on the Founder's involvement.
• Extensive hands-on experience in inventory merchandising.
• Background in assortment, option, or range planning, including converting category performance and capacity into intake recommendations.
• Experience in store capacity planning.
• Proven track record in multi-store stock allocation.
• Ownership experience in replenishment processes.
• Experience in balancing stock between stores.
• Proficiency in sell-through, stock cover, and stock turnover analysis.
• Management experience of size and SKU-level availability.
• Ability to translate analysis into actionable commercial stock strategies.
• Experience in both physical retail and e-commerce settings.
• Skills in managing overstock, understock, and aging inventory.
• Capacity to make informed merchandising decisions even with incomplete or conflicting data.
• High level of confidence in working directly with large, formula-driven Excel models.
• Proficient in navigating complex workbooks, understanding formulas, distinguishing raw inputs, calculated fields, and manual overrides, as well as utilizing lookups, pivots, filters, and conditional logic.
• Ability to troubleshoot formula or output issues and maintain existing models without disrupting downstream logic.
• Comfort in using, understanding, analyzing, and safely enhancing an established operating model.
• Experience in fashion or apparel is highly preferred.
• Comparable multi-store specialty retail experience may be considered, particularly if allocation, replenishment, capacity, SKU-level, and omnichannel expertise are exceptionally strong.
• Comfortable using AI as a practical tool while maintaining accountability for commercial merchandising decisions and validating outputs.
• Availability to work primarily within UK business hours, Monday to Friday, from 9am to 5:30pm UK time.
• Remote or offshore working arrangement.
