Inventory Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of inventory accuracy across warehouses, third-party logistics (3PLs), and internal inventory locations.

• Oversee inventory balances and investigate discrepancies between ERP records, warehouse systems, and physical inventory.

• Design, manage, and implement cycle count and physical inventory programs.

• Analyze inventory variances and identify underlying causes.

• Coordinate inventory adjustments while ensuring proper documentation and approvals are in place.

• Reconcile inventory movements including receipts, transfers, fulfillments, returns, assemblies, adjustments, and write-offs.

• Collaborate with warehouse and 3PL teams to address receiving, shipping, and inventory discrepancies.

• Monitor aged, damaged, expired, obsolete, and slow-moving inventory.

• Assist in formulating disposition plans for obsolete or unsellable inventory.

• Review negative inventory, shortages, duplicate transactions, and any unusual inventory activities.

• Maintain accurate master data related to SKU, items, locations, and inventory.

• Ensure timely and accurate processing of inventory transactions within the ERP system.

• Collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, Warehouse, Finance, and Accounting teams to uphold robust inventory controls.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in inventory management, inventory control, or inventory accounting, preferably in CPG, food & beverage, or another physical goods sector.

• Experience collaborating with 3PLs and/or co-packers/co-manufacturers, including managing data and communication challenges.

• Familiarity with lot tracking, expiration dates, and FIFO/FEFO methodologies.

• Proficient in Excel and Google Sheets.

• Experience using ERP systems such as NetSuite, QuickBooks, Fishbowl, Cin7, SAP, or similar applications.

• Capability to create or enhance processes rather than merely adhering to existing ones.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to investigate root causes effectively.

• Excellent cross-functional communication skills.

• High attention to detail with strong prioritization abilities.

• Nice-to-have: experience with rapid SKU or channel growth.

• Nice-to-have: knowledge of retailer EDI/chargebacks related to inventory and fulfillment discrepancies.

• Nice-to-have: experience in supporting an audit or funding due diligence process.

• Nice-to-have: exposure to demand planning or S&OP processes.
