Inventory Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Meet established inventory management Service Level, Days Sales Outstanding (DSO), and Spoilage targets while enhancing operational efficiencies.

• Analyze critical items and take appropriate actions to support the service level for end customers.

• Assess daily out-of-stock reports, communicate with sales as necessary, and expedite orders as required.

• Oversee inbound purchase orders by verifying cost, quantity, dates, overdue orders, overages, shortages, and damages.

• Maintain parameters within the forecasting system to adapt to demand fluctuations, customer events, business changes, and seasonal variations.

• Utilize the Manhattan inventory planning tool DPR at an intermediate level to enhance team performance through scorecards, dashboards, and merchandising KPIs.

• Assist with supplier returns and product recalls as needed.

• Ensure accuracy of purchase order costing and dates through confirmations and alerts.

• Monitor supplier and corporate market conditions and trends to uncover purchasing opportunities.

• Offer basic demand planning support and relay feedback to the Corporate Planner for necessary action or alignment.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma.

• Bachelor's degree.

• Minimum of 1 year of professional business experience or relevant Bachelor's degree in place of experience.

• Experience in a retail, wholesale, or distribution environment.

• Proficient in Excel.

• Inventory Management/Purchasing experience in a distributor with over 10,000 SKUs.

• Ability to swiftly resolve conflicts, research issues, and follow up with timely communication to all key stakeholders.

• Capacity to rapidly learn systems to address basic inquiries without escalation.

• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally across the organization.

• Strong attention to detail and follow-through.

• Proactive approach to identify and address issues as they arise.

• Capacity to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong organizational and planning abilities.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to comprehend and implement standard replenishment processes and best practices.
