Interpreter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Facilitate effective communication between speakers of Foochow and English.

• Process information promptly and accurately while maintaining a professional demeanor.

• Ensure a quiet and secure work environment conducive to interpretation.

• Handle calls in a professional manner in accordance with the interpreter’s code of conduct.

• Possess familiarity with industry-specific terminology, particularly in healthcare and medical fields.

• Engage in internal professional development training sessions.

• Communicate and provide updates to the team leader.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency in both English and Foochow.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in interpretation.

• Exceptional listening, retention, and note-taking abilities.

• Capability to convey accurate concepts and meanings as per established interpretation protocols, avoiding any omissions or additions.

• Ability to explain specific cultural concepts to prevent miscommunication, with the client's permission or upon request.

• 90% proficiency in English.

• Stable wired internet connection.

• USB wired headset required.

• Operating system must be Windows 10 or Mac.

• Depending on your location, language testing and background verification may be necessary.
