International Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain, +5 more countries.

📋 Description

• Oversee the daily accounting functions for multiple entities, ensuring adherence to both local and international regulations.

• Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, which include group consolidation and analytical insights.

• Review and submit VAT and other tax filings, maintaining precision and punctuality in submissions.

• Ensure compliance with local statutory and tax requirements.

• Collaborate with local service providers for transfer pricing studies and associated documentation.

• Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and local accounting service providers.

• Reconcile accounts and verify the accuracy of financial statements, including performing bank reconciliations.

• Assist in enhancing processes and fortifying internal controls within the finance department.

• Work closely with internal teams and external partners to facilitate efficient accounting and reporting workflows.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5–9 years of professional experience in accounting, preferably in an international or multi-company context.

• Strong understanding of accounting principles, VAT compliance, and group reporting standards.

• Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Netsuite).

• Proficient in Excel.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills across various teams and countries.

• Proficiency in English (both spoken and written).

• Must reside within two hours of the Central European Timezone.

• Experience with transfer pricing or intercompany transactions is advantageous.

• Knowledge of multicurrency accounting is a plus.

• Previous experience in a start-up or fast-growing company is a bonus.
