International Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Oversee accounting records for designated entities and ensure precise transaction recognition.

• Generate monthly management accounts and reconciliations, and assist with both month-end and year-end closures.

• Facilitate intercompany transactions and reconciliations.

• Collaborate with local accounting and tax advisors across various jurisdictions.

• Compile information for VAT, corporate tax, and statutory reports, and review calculations prepared by external advisors.

• Aid in statutory audits and ensure proper maintenance of accounting documentation.

• Engage directly with internal stakeholders from Finance, Operations, Legal, and other departments.

• Comprehend stakeholder requirements, articulate accounting issues clearly, and provide practical, business-focused solutions.

• Assume responsibility for designated areas, identify challenges, and drive them to resolution.

• Contribute to enhancements in accounting processes, controls, and automation, including recognizing opportunities to leverage AI and other tools.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in Accounting, ideally within an international or multi-entity setting.

• Strong practical knowledge of accounting principles and the complete accounting cycle.

• Experience in month-end closure, reconciliations, and management reporting.

• Practical understanding of VAT and fundamental corporate tax concepts.

• Ability to critically assess work produced by external accountants and tax advisors.

• Significant practical experience with 1C.

• Proficient skills in Microsoft Excel.

• Familiarity with Xero, QuickBooks, or comparable accounting systems.

• Comfort in utilizing AI tools in daily tasks and a willingness to embrace new AI-driven solutions.

• Upper-Intermediate level of English or higher, adequate for independent professional communication.
