This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as the main internal sales partner for the designated Regional Retirement & SDBA Business Development Consultant.
• Formulate and implement cohesive territory strategies targeting advisors, opportunities, and sales initiatives.
• Prepare the Regional Consultant for meetings with advisors, opportunity evaluations, finalist presentations, and discussions with strategic partners.
• Perform proactive outreach to financial advisors to identify and cultivate retirement plan opportunities.
• Collect plan details, comprehend advisor goals, and outline subsequent steps.
• Oversee benchmarking, proposal creation, investment comparisons, and other sales resources.
• Educate advisors on AssetMark’s retirement plan fiduciary solutions, investment alternatives, and value proposition.
• Identify and foster Self-Directed Brokerage Account opportunities while supporting the SDBA sales process.
• Keep precise records of retirement plan and SDBA opportunities in Salesforce.
• Monitor next steps, closing dates, estimated assets, contacts, proposals, milestones, and sales activities.
• Conduct pipeline assessments and assist in accurate sales forecasting.
• Cultivate relationships with financial advisors, AssetMark teams, recordkeepers, and DCIO partners.
• Engage in advisor meetings, webinars, educational events, and sales presentations.
• Implement targeted outbound campaigns and follow up on marketing initiatives, referrals, events, and incoming leads.
• Organize sales materials, proposals, benchmarking analyses, onboarding, and implementation transitions.
• Relay advisor feedback, competitive insights, and market trends to leadership.
• Maintain proficiency in retirement plans, SDBAs, recordkeeping platforms, regulatory changes, and competitive offerings.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related area is preferred.
• 3–7 years of experience in retirement plan sales, financial services, internal wholesaling, business development, or a similar role is preferred.
• Familiarity with SDBAs, retirement plan recordkeepers, or platforms like PCRA and BrokerageLink is advantageous.
• SIE, Series 6, Series 63, and Series 65 or Series 7 and Series 66 licenses are required.
• Strong knowledge of the retirement plan market and financial advisor distribution channels is highly preferred.
• Proven ability to engage in proactive outbound sales efforts and generate new business opportunities.
• Exceptional consultative selling, communication, presentation, and relationship management skills.
• Highly organized with the capability to manage numerous opportunities, deadlines, and follow-up tasks concurrently.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining precise CRM and pipeline records.
• Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively within an Internal/Regional sales partnership.
• Proficient in Salesforce and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to learn and articulate complex retirement, fiduciary, and investment concepts.
• Must have legal authorization to work in the US.
