This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Serve as a strategic advisor to VP-level client leaders, offering guidance, constructive feedback, and presentation coaching.
• Collaborate mainly during core hours in the Pacific Time zone.
• Create executive materials such as leader-voice Slack messages, email communications, thought leadership articles, all-hands meeting narratives, organizational change messages, and concise scripts.
• Transform highly technical work into engaging communications for both technical and non-technical employee audiences.
• Align functional technology stories with the overarching priorities of Airbnb.
• Design and implement impactful connection events like all-hands meetings, forums, and leadership retreats.
• Develop narratives, create presentations, and coach presenters effectively.
• Act as a reliable editor for the broader internal communications team.
• Enhance channel standards and influence content planning and evaluation.
• Lead or assist in change management, crisis communication, and special initiatives.
• Establish and uphold Airbnb's internal voice and stylistic guidelines.
• Contribute to the editorial strategy of the internal communications function.
• Over 10 years of experience in strategic internal communications, editorial roles, or journalism.
• Relevant degree in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, or a similar field.
• Proven history of delivering work to consistently high standards.
• Outstanding writing and editing capabilities.
• Proficiency in AI and familiarity with other technical topics.
• A genuine interest in product development and understanding how things function.
• Experience providing counsel to senior leaders.
• Strong editorial acumen and news awareness.
• Comprehensive skills in communications planning, research, writing, editing, distribution, and performance measurement.
• Experience in designing effective communication strategies and channels.
• Excellent presentation and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency in Google Slides and Keynote.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Capability to quickly grasp new subject areas or client organizations.
• Project management skills with a focus on detail, urgency, and follow-through.
• Commitment to confidentiality, sound judgment, and ethical business practices.
• Alignment with and enthusiasm for Airbnb's mission and community.
• Must reside in a state where Airbnb, Inc. has a registered presence.
