Internal Auditor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

📋 Description

• Establish connections by showcasing expertise, cultural awareness, and diplomacy.

• Collaborate with the Internal Audit Manager to outline project goals, scope, work plan, and sampling criteria.

• Conduct internal audits to assess process risks and control mechanisms.

• Utilize critical thinking, business acumen, and effective time management in audit assignments.

• Collect, create, and maintain documentation for audit testing and evaluation.

• Analyze audit outcomes, develop and communicate audit findings, and evaluate the areas reviewed.

• Collaborate with audit clients to formulate recommendations that enhance operations.

• Provide education and training on concepts related to internal controls and risk assessment.

• Ensure that management formulates action plans and follows up on recommendations.

• Facilitate audit engagements by asking precise, clarifying questions and gathering candid information.

• Maintain audit tools and processes efficiently.

• Review and analyze information along with audit results to identify and prevent fraud.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration.

• Proficient in both English and Spanish.

• At least two years of auditing or professional accounting experience.

• Experience in the non-profit sector and/or with international staff.

• Personal confession of faith in Jesus Christ and a commitment to Edify’s mission.
