Intern – Oncology Research and Development

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Gain knowledge about the clinical testing and processes involved in test development.

• Acquire skills in molecular techniques, including Next Generation Sequencing.

• Support complex data analysis and contribute to writing projects.

• Utilize critical thinking skills to interpret experimental results.

• Present findings during laboratory meetings.

• Collaborate with the Oncology Research and Development team in San Diego, California to develop or enhance an Oncology-focused assay or testing capability.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Biology, Chemistry, Genetics, or Biological Science.

• Prior and/or ongoing Labcorp Internship is mandatory.

• Practical experience in a cell or molecular biology laboratory is essential.

• Genuine interest in clinical testing or molecular research fields.

• A strong curiosity and a willingness to learn new concepts.

• Preferred 3-6 months of experience with Next Generation Sequencing technologies.
