Intermediate Test Engineer Automation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland, +3 more countries.

📋 Description

• Develop, manage, and implement automated testing procedures.

• Create workload scenarios informed by production traffic patterns as well as SLA/SLO standards.

• Write dynamic test scenarios incorporating parameterization, correlation, data driving, and assertions.

• Integrate load testing into CI/CD pipelines to facilitate automated regression testing.

• Evaluate performance test outcomes and metrics to pinpoint performance-related issues.

• Profile microservices, REST APIs, and database response times under load conditions.

• Recognize client/server-side bottlenecks and collaborate with developers to address them.

• Communicate test outcomes and performance insights with technical teams and stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• 1.5–4 years of experience in software testing or test automation.

• Strong grasp of software testing concepts and QA methodologies.

• Proficient in Python and/or Scala scripting, including object-oriented programming.

• Basic knowledge of cloud-based systems and their infrastructure components, such as streams, queues, and hosts.

• Experience in analyzing test results and detecting issues or unexpected behaviors.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Strong skills in technical communication and teamwork.

• Eagerness to enhance skills in performance testing and performance evaluation.

• Upper-Intermediate level of English proficiency.

• Desirable: practical experience in performance testing, especially in analyzing performance test results and metrics.

• Desirable: experience in profiling microservices, REST APIs, and database response times under load.

• Desirable: familiarity with AWS or any other major cloud platform.

• Desirable: experience with AWS services such as CloudWatch, X-Ray, Fargate/ECS, or AWS Distributed Load Testing Solution.

• Desirable: experience using Gatling, Locust, or k6.

• Desirable: experience with Docker for containerizing load injection nodes.

• Desirable: knowledge of CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.

• Desirable: familiarity with observability tools like Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, or New Relic.

• Desirable: relevant certifications or courses such as AWS Certified Developer/Solutions Architect – Associate, ISTQB Performance Testing Specialist, Gatling Academy, or k6/Grafana training.
