This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.
• Oversee instructional programs remotely from a home office in Tennessee.
• Provide engaging daily synchronous instruction that aligns with curriculum and Tennessee learning standards for students.
• Enhance the instructional program through asynchronous and synchronous web conferencing sessions.
• Handle grading, generate progress reports, and organize parent conferences.
• Collaborate with parents, students, teachers, and curriculum specialists to create and update Personal Learning Plans and schedules.
• Assess student performance, offer constructive feedback, recommend instructional strategies, track assignments, and mentor on special projects.
• Acquire a broad understanding of the program curriculum and in-depth knowledge of the assigned courses.
• Evaluate curriculum materials and devise alternative methods to enhance student comprehension.
• Provide alternative strategies and support to students and parents for assignments and projects.
• Work alongside teachers, staff learning specialists, Advisory Teachers, and School Counselors to facilitate student progress and maintain family communication.
• Keep up-to-date student records and data, including cumulative files, online information, attendance, and contact logs.
• Organize social events and relevant student field trips; oversee regional excursions and align them with the curriculum.
• Foster and sustain a virtual school community.
• Engage in the organization and administration of state testing.
• Participate in student recruitment sessions and marketing initiatives requiring representation from educators.
• Attend field trips, community events, and occasional in-person professional development sessions.
• Execute additional responsibilities as assigned.
• Must be highly qualified and certified to teach grades 4-8 in Tennessee.
• Proficient in technology, particularly with Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
• Exceptional oral and written communication abilities.
• Highly organized and punctual in all tasks.
• Customer-oriented mindset.
• A high level of adaptability.
• Proven capability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
• Strong team player with a successful track record.
• Willingness to travel for marketing and state testing events, which may include occasional overnight stays.
• Availability to work some evening hours as necessary to support families.
• Capability to work remotely.
