Interim Corporate Lawyer – Junior

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Assist a key client at Simmons & Simmons in the role of a junior corporate lawyer.

• Engage in a full-time, completely remote position anticipated to last for 3 months.

• Evaluate and draft contracts.

• Operate independently while appropriately escalating issues as needed.

• Collaborate with both the broader team and the client team.

• Manage workloads effectively and deliver results within tight deadlines.

• Maintain regular engagement with a sponsoring Partner and the client team.

• Involve yourself in training, development, networking events, webinars, and firmwide activities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Qualified lawyer with 1-2 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in corporate law.

• Comfortable working independently and recognizing when to escalate issues.

• Strong skills in contract review and drafting.

• Effective problem-solving abilities and a collaborative mindset.

• Capability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

• Proficient in delivering quality work quickly and effectively under tight deadlines.

• Excellent organizational skills and adept at prioritizing tasks.

• Ability to work autonomously while also collaborating with a larger team.

• Must have the appropriate right to work in the UK; visa sponsorship is not available.

• Completion of the employer's background screening process is required; this may involve a DBS certificate based on the role.
