This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Initiate, commission, and assess PLC-controlled equipment at client sites.
• Execute systems integration at customer locations.
• Collaborate with electrical technicians to set up control cabinets, load and configure PLC software, and perform functionality and performance evaluations.
• Commission HMI systems and establish connections to PLCs.
• Conduct hardware testing in line with project specifications and industry standards.
• Assess system functionality and integration with customer Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Utilize diagnostic tools to resolve hardware and software issues under the guidance of senior team members.
• Cultivate expertise in commissioning software, hardware, tools, and systems through continuous learning and training.
• Engage in integration testing of adapter cells, storage solutions, and safety systems.
• Support Commissioning Services Scope of Work tasks, including startup of control cabinets, software loading, configuration, and performance validation.
• Work in conjunction with engineering, software, and customer support teams.
• Offer technical support and document testing results.
• Travel to client and customer sites for commissioning activities.
• A Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Robotics, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline is required.
• At least 2 years of experience with PLC systems, robotics, industrial networks, or HMI systems.
• Familiarity with Rockwell Automation, Allen Bradley, Siemens, and HMI systems.
• Knowledge of ABB and Fanuc robotics.
• Understanding of Ethernet/IP and ProfiNet.
• Experience with Panel View Plus.
• Competence in reading electrical schematics.
• Basic understanding of SQL and relational databases.
• Acquaintance with Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Practical experience with motion control equipment such as VFDs is advantageous.
• Capability to troubleshoot and provide remote system support using Remote Desktop, SSH, and web browsers.
• Experience in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and perform effectively under pressure.
• A valid driver's license.
• Willingness to drive and/or fly to client and customer locations.
• Compliance with lockout/tagout and fall protection safety protocols.
• Ability to work at heights up to 45 feet and in confined spaces of 24 inches.
• Capacity to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in temperature conditions ranging from 105° to 32° Fahrenheit.
• Must wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hat, safety vest, steel-toed boots, eyeglasses, ear protection, and fall protection gear.
