Integration, QA Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Design and implement integration, system, regression, end-to-end, API, and workflow testing strategies to enhance automation capabilities.

• Develop automated test suites, establish test data, create mocks/stubs, define acceptance criteria, set quality gates, and establish repeatable validation processes.

• Assess interfaces, data exchanges, security measures, error handling, logging mechanisms, workflow paths, and deployment behaviors across interconnected components.

• Connect requirements and defects to testing evidence; document outcomes and assist in prioritizing and resolving issues.

• Integrate automated testing into the customer’s current CI/CD pipeline and facilitate release-readiness assessments.

• Collaborate with developers, platform teams, security experts, data teams, ATO automation, and Government stakeholders throughout integration and validation efforts.

• Keep test plans, test cases, results, defect logs, runbooks, and quality documentation in line with customer Launch Pad and CMMI standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Over 8 years of pertinent experience in integration, software testing, QA, or systems engineering.

• Proven experience in designing and automating API, integration, system, regression, and end-to-end testing within enterprise software settings.

• Familiarity with defect management, requirements traceability, CI/CD integration, test evidence, and release-readiness processes.

• Proficient in diagnosing failures that span applications, APIs, data, platforms, security tools, and workflows.

• Eligibility to obtain a 6c Public Trust clearance.

• U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.

• Holding at least an active Secret clearance is strongly preferred.

• Experience with automated API/UI/integration testing frameworks.

• Familiarity with GitLab CI/CD.

• Proficient in using Jira/Confluence.

• Experience with AWS.

• Background in performance/reliability testing.

• Skills in test data management.

• Knowledge of requirements traceability.

• Experience in security-test integration.
