This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of the complete integration architecture between Workday and the Talent ecosystem.
• Establish and uphold integration patterns and standards for tools, middleware, error management, data agreements, security, and interface versioning.
• Enhance the integration landscape by minimizing point-to-point integrations, streamlining processes, and eliminating outdated components.
• Guide the design and implementation of integrations through all phases: requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and iteration.
• Create and review transformation logic and accompanying code.
• Develop observability strategies utilizing metrics, logs, traces, and alerts.
• Define and track Service Level Indicators (SLIs) and Service Level Objectives (SLOs) for essential integrations.
• Oversee incident response and post-incident reviews, ensuring structural improvements are made.
• Act as the technical lead when collaborating with vendors, holding them accountable for quality, performance, and operability.
• Transform HR, Finance, and partner business processes into effective integration designs.
• Keep documentation current, including data agreements, mappings, runbooks, and architectural overviews.
• Mentor engineers and partners regarding the integration ecosystem.
• Extensive hands-on experience in building and maintaining Workday integrations in a production environment.
• Familiarity with Workday Studio, EIB, and Web Services.
• Preferably experience with Workday Extend and Prism.
• Strong background with at least one middleware platform.
• Solid understanding of REST/SOAP APIs, XML, XSLT, JSON, and authentication methods including OAuth and SAML.
• Proficient in at least one general-purpose programming language: Java, Python, or JavaScript.
• Demonstrated success in managing complex integrations or data flows from start to finish.
• Strong comprehension of HR/Talent business processes and HRIS data workflows, encompassing recruiting, offers, onboarding, compensation, and performance management.
• Experience in designing for operability, observability, resilience, and scalability in production systems.
