Integration Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain data interfaces between internal and external systems independently.

• Operate and enhance the Lobster_data integration platform.

• Connect external systems through EDI/EDIFACT, XML, JSON, and CSV formats.

• Develop and maintain file-based and web interfaces utilizing REST, SOAP, SFTP, and EDI.

• Create robust validation and error-handling logic, incorporating sanity checks, atomic processing, and idempotency.

• Analyze and resolve incidents in live operations independently.

• Understand and consider WMS processes such as goods receiving, picking, shipping, and returns.

• Integrate ERP and WMS systems with e-commerce, shipping service provider, and customer portal platforms.

• Provide support for logistics IT systems and warehouse management environments.

• Develop and maintain SQL queries, procedures, and data models in MS SQL Server and MySQL environments.

• Analyze and optimize data-driven business processes.

• Assess technical customer requirements and design interface concepts.

• Assist with customer migration projects and system integrations.

• Participate in technical workshops and project coordination meetings.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience with integration platforms, preferably Lobster_data; alternatively, comparable middleware such as MuleSoft or Boomi.

• Proficient in XML, JSON, CSV, and EDIFACT/EDI.

• Familiarity with REST, SOAP, and SFTP/FTP.

• Basic understanding of REST interfaces, including their application and configuration.

• Advanced SQL expertise in MS SQL Server and MySQL, encompassing complex queries, joins, CTEs, and data modeling.

• Understanding of interconnected, distributed system architectures and their process flows.

• Basic knowledge of WMS processes and their implications on interface design.

• Basic comprehension of e-commerce and/or logistics processes.

• Nice to have: Specific experience with Lobster_data.

• Nice to have: Experience in developing and implementing REST or SOAP APIs.

• Nice to have: Practical experience with at least one WMS or ERP system.

• Nice to have: Basic .NET/C# skills for reading code and making minor adjustments.

• Nice to have: Experience with PHP/Laravel.

• Nice to have: Experience with WMS implementation projects or migrations.
