This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Evaluate medical records, clinical documentation, and payer regulations to assess patient eligibility, qualification status, and compliance.
• Engage with patients about their financial obligations, collect payments as necessary, and accurately document these interactions.
• Reach out to patients when documentation fails to align with payer requirements, offering updates and alternative solutions.
• Collaborate with referral sources, physicians, and clinical teams to secure complete and compliant documentation.
• Utilize knowledge of payer regulations to ensure compliant service delivery.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient information and communication records using electronic systems.
• Enter referrals within specified timeframes while adhering to productivity and quality standards.
• Work with leadership to ensure that the appropriate inventory and services are selected and scheduled.
• Partner with sales, insurance verification, and internal support teams to streamline referrals and intake processes.
• Navigate various EMR and online systems to acquire and manage documentation effectively.
• Determine suitable shipping and delivery methods in accordance with company policies.
• Respond to incoming calls and provide professional assistance to patients and referral sources.
• Participate in an on-call rotation during non-business hours.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures and perform other related tasks as assigned.
• A minimum of one (1) year of relevant work experience is required.
• High School Diploma or an Associate’s degree in a related field, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or equivalent work experience is required.
• Experience in management, administrative, clerical work, insurance, billing, claims, call center operations, or customer service is preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience within a healthcare organization, pharmacy, HME, medical supply, or Medicare-certified environment is advantageous but not essential.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in computer skills; familiarity with Microsoft Office and healthcare systems is a plus.
• Comfortable with learning new technologies and navigating various systems.
• Capable of working independently while adhering to established procedures and directives.
• A background check conducted by the company is required for all positions.
• Clinical roles necessitate valid licensure/certification, where applicable.
