This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Review patient medical records, clinical documentation, and payer guidelines to assess eligibility, qualification, and compliance before service delivery.
• Communicate financial responsibilities to patients, collect payments as necessary, and accurately document all interactions.
• Reach out to patients when documentation fails to meet payer standards, offering updates and alternative options to facilitate timely care.
• Collaborate with referral sources, physicians, and clinical teams to secure complete and compliant documentation.
• Exhibit expert knowledge of payer requirements to ensure appropriate and compliant service provision.
• Maintain precise and timely documentation of patient information and communications using electronic systems.
• Enter referrals accurately within set timeframes while adhering to productivity and quality benchmarks.
• Coordinate with leadership to ensure the appropriate selection and scheduling of inventory and services.
• Collaborate closely with sales, insurance verification, and internal support teams to streamline the referral and intake process.
• Navigate various EMR and online systems for documentation management.
• Ensure that proper shipping and delivery methods are chosen in line with company protocols.
• Respond to incoming calls promptly and provide professional assistance to patients and referral sources.
• Participate in an on-call rotation during non-business hours in accordance with company policies.
• Support team operations and uphold quality standards by adhering to company policies and procedures.
• Perform other related tasks as assigned.
• Minimum of one (1) year of relevant work experience is required.
• High School Diploma or Associate’s degree in a related field such as Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or equivalent work experience is required.
• Preferred experience includes management, administrative, clerical, insurance, billing, claims, call center, or customer service, though not mandatory.
• Experience in a healthcare organization, pharmacy, HME, medical supply, or Medicare-certified environment is advantageous but not essential.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, complemented by analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient computer skills, with knowledge of Microsoft Office and healthcare systems considered a plus.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and navigate multiple systems comfortably.
• Capability to work independently while adhering to established procedures and directives.
