This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Evaluate medical records, clinical documentation, and payer guidelines to assess patient eligibility, qualification status, and compliance prior to service delivery.
• Engage with patients regarding their financial responsibilities, collect payments when necessary, and accurately document all interactions.
• Reach out to patients when documentation fails to meet payer requirements, providing updates and alternative options to ensure timely care.
• Collaborate with referral sources, physicians, and clinical teams to secure complete and compliant documentation.
• Utilize expert knowledge of payer requirements to guarantee that services are rendered appropriately and in compliance.
• Maintain precise and timely documentation of patient information and communications through electronic systems.
• Enter referrals accurately within specified timeframes while adhering to productivity and quality standards.
• Work alongside leadership to confirm the appropriate inventory and services are selected and scheduled.
• Partner with sales, insurance verification, and internal support teams to streamline the referral and intake process.
• Navigate various EMR and online systems to procure and manage documentation effectively.
• Ensure that shipping and delivery methods comply with company procedures.
• Respond to incoming calls promptly and provide professional assistance to both patients and referral sources.
• Participate in the on-call rotation during non-business hours in line with company policy.
• Uphold team operations and quality standards by adhering to company policies and procedures.
• Perform additional related duties as assigned.
• Minimum of one (1) year of relevant work experience is required.
• High School Diploma or an Associate’s degree in a related field, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or equivalent work experience is required.
• Experience in management, administrative, clerical, insurance, billing, claims, call center, or customer service is preferred but not mandatory.
• Previous experience in a healthcare organization, pharmacy, HME, medical supply, or Medicare-certified environment is a plus but not a requirement.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in computer skills, with knowledge of Microsoft Office and healthcare systems being an advantage.
• Comfortable with learning new technologies and navigating various systems.
• Capable of working independently while adhering to established procedures and directives.
• A company-conducted Background Check is required for all positions.
